CTET 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the registration window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2024). As per the revised deadlines, eligible candidates will now be able to apply for the CTET July exam till April 5, 2024.
“The last date for submission of online Applications for CTET-July,2024 has been extended up to 05/04/2024 (Before 11:59 PM)” reads the notice.
According to the schedule, the CTET July exam 2024 will be held on July 7 in two shifts: paper 2 from 9:30 AM to 12 PM and paper 1 from 2 PM to 4:30 PM.
CTET Certification validity
The CTET qualifying certificate has lifelong validity in all categories. Its scores are relevant in a variety of institutions. These include central government schools such as Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), Central Tibetan Schools, and schools administered by Union Territories such as Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman-Diu, Andaman-Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, and the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Furthermore, unaided private schools recognise the CTET certificate.
State government-owned and managed schools, as well as those under local bodies and aided schools, may take the state government-conducted Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
However, if a state government chooses not to conduct its TET, it may still recognise the CTET. According to the CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws, teachers’ minimum qualifications for teaching various subjects in CBSE-affiliated schools should include a CTET qualification or a state government-conducted TET that adheres to NCTE guidelines.
