Daredevil release date on Disney Plus moved to March 2025

Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed recently what rumors said soon after his return: Marvel will reduce its MCU output to two or three movies and two Disney Plus shows per year. The studio will focus on improving the quality of its stories and focusing on characters that MCU fans want to see more of, Avengers included.

Last year’s industry strikes helped Disney and Marvel achieve those goals, giving them time to rethink the Multiverse Saga schedule and make changes to the release schedule.

When Iger made his recent remarks, we already knew the MCU movie calendar for the coming years. What we didn’t have was an updated release schedule for some of the Disney Plus shows that are in the making or have already been completed.

Now, Disney gave fans updated release dates for three upcoming shows during its Disney Upfront presentation: Agatha All Along, Daredevil, and Ironheart. Before I tell you more, I’ll warn you that some spoilers might follow below.

Agatha All Along

Perhaps the biggest surprise from Disney’s Upfront is the new name for the highly-anticipated Kathryn Hahn-led WandaVision spinoff. It’s now called Agatha All Along, a title that makes absolute sense. After all, she put that spell on Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) in WandaVision.

Marvel released a cheeky teaser that explains all the previous title changes for Agatha All Along, as well as the crazier rumors we saw in recent days. You see, it’s Agatha who might be responsible for those changes.

More importantly, Agatha All Along appears to be the first MCU TV show coming to Disney Plus after X-Men ’97, which is about to wrap up.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along will stream on Disney Plus starting September 18th.

Daredevil: Born Again

Daredevil: Born Again is an even more exciting Marvel TV show coming to Disney Plus. The new project will continue the story from the Netflix TV show, starring Charlie Cox as Daredevil and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin.

Deadline confirmed that Jon Bernthal will also appear in the upcoming TV show, reprising his role as The Punisher.

Born Again will be a two-part TV show, with part 1 airing in March 2025. We don’t have a firm release date for Daredevil’s return to streaming, but it’s an updated schedule from the previous 2024 release window.

Disney also showed a teaser at Upfront, one that we’ll probably have to wait a while to see. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio told Deadline that filming has wrapped on the first part, with shooting set to start this fall for the second season. You can see parts of the interview in the tweets above.

Ironheart

We first saw Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever a few years ago. She was there in a support role. The character’s origin story is set to stream on Disney Plus, and that’s where we’ll find out how this hero came to be.

Unlike Agatha All Along and Daredevil, we don’t have a firm release date or window for this Marvel TV show. But it’s coming in 2025. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ironheart were to premiere in the second half of next year.
