The MTN8 semi-final first-leg fixtures will be played midweek, with the second leg taking place on the same weekend.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the dates, venues, and kick-off times. Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns, Stellenbosch and Cape Town City are the four teams that are remaining in the competition.
The first MTN8 semi-final will be between holders Pirates and CP City is played at DHL Stadium on Tuesday with kick-off at 19h00. The second leg fixture will be held at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, 31 August 2024. Kick-off is at 15h00.
In the other MTN8 semi-final will see Sundowns host Stellenbosch FC in their first leg at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Wednesday, 28 August 2024. Kick-off for the anticipated encounter is at 19h00. The return leg is scheduled for Sunday, 01 September 2024 at Moses Mabhida Stadium, kicking off at 15h00.

Pirates have won the competition three times in the last four years and are favourites going into the semis. The Buccaneers have won five of their six finals across all competitions.
Both Sundowns and Pirates are favourites to reach the final but a Cape derby is not unlikely. The last time a team besides Downs or Bucs won the MTN8 was in 2019 when SuperSport United were victorious. The 2024 MTN8 semi-final might bring a few surprises.
