Eligible candidates can apply for the advertised posts starting tomorrow, i.e January 24, 2024, on the official website at dghgenrollment.in. Candidates will have until February 13, 2024, to submit their applications.
According to the notice, selected candidates will be appointed for a period of three-years, which can be extended for up to two more years.
Eligibility criteria
- Age Limit:
Applicants should be between 20 and 45 years old, with the condition that they should not have been born earlier than 02.01.1979 and later than 01.01.2004. For ex-servicemen and ex-CAPF personnel, the upper age limit is extended to 54 years.
- Educational Qualification:
Candidates are required to be 12th pass (Senior Secondary), while ex-servicemen and ex-CAPF personnel should have completed at least 10th standard.
- Physical Standards:
There is a minimum height requirement of 165 cm for males and 152 cm for females.
- Domicile Requirement:
Candidates must be citizens of India and residents of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. Various documents serve as proof of residency, such as a valid passport, Election Commission Photo ID card, current and valid ration card with a photograph, valid driving license issued by the Transport Department of GNCT Delhi, attested passbook of a public sector bank account with a photograph and residential address in Delhi, or a certificate issued by a competent/authorized government authority of the Revenue Department, GNCT Delhi.
Selection procedure
According to the notice, in order to be eligible for the written test, candidates must first qualify in the Physical Measurement and Efficiency test (PMET), which includes a 1,600 meters race and measurement of height. The selection will be based on merit, finalized by adding bonus marks, if applicable, to the written examination scores. Once selected, candidates are required to undergo a medical examination. Additionally, they must submit a Police Clearance Certificate, obtainable from the Delhi Police website.
