A plus-sized influencer with over 2 million followers has filed a lawsuit against Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. She claims her leg was broken at Hill’s Florida mansion last year during a backyard football lesson gone wrong.
Sophie Hall, an influencer, model, and actor from Pasco County, stated that she was invited to participate in an offensive line blocking drill after observing Hill’s training session in his backyard. This incident resulted in a lawsuit filed in Broward County on Friday.
Hall alleged that Hill started sending her direct messages on Instagram and made flirtatious comments about her height after she registered her son for the football camp he was hosting. She was eventually asked to come to Hill’s home where she watched him train and then joined in a blocking drill, according to the lawsuit.
During the drill, Hall, who is 6 feet 1 inch tall, managed to push the 5 feet 10 inch Hill backward on the first attempt, causing laughter among the witnesses present, which included Hill’s trainer, mother, and sister, as mentioned in the complaint.
On a subsequent attempt, Hill allegedly charged into Hall violently, resulting in serious injuries, including a fractured right leg that required surgery and metal hardware implantation, the lawsuit claimed.
The lawsuit states that after feeling embarrassed by being knocked backward during the football lesson, Hill forcefully shoved Hall, causing severe injuries. It also references Hill’s history of violent behavior towards women, including a domestic-violence arrest that led to his dismissal from Oklahoma State in 2014.
Hill, 29, had a successful season with the Dolphins last year, recording a career-high of 1,799 receiving yards on 119 catches with 13 touchdowns.
