Dragon Ball fans furious after new series turns GOKU into a kid

The new upcoming Dragon Ball Daima series has not gone well with a lot of hardcore fans.

While some fans were happy with the return of the new Dragon Ball series after five years, many were left disappointed after the trailer showed Goku getting turned into a kid.

Is the new Dragon Ball Daima targeting new young fans?

The formula was tried 27 years ago in Dragon Ball Gt but the series was not well received by fans and was cancelled after just 64 espisodes.

Both the original Dragon Ball and Z series received widespread acclaim and earned millions of fans around the globe. After the end of Z, the DB manga was discontinued by creator Akira Toriyama however Toei decided to continue the series in 1996 under the title Dragon Ball GT.

Although some concepts of GT like Super Saiyan 4 were applauded by fans, the series lost popularity after Goku was turned into a kid in the very first episode.

Toriyama and his team returned almost 20 years to fix GT by introducing Dragon Ball Super back in 2015. Super was well received by many fans but some felt it failed to live up to the hype of the original manga series.

In October this year, a new series was teased but fans are now complaining about the idea of Goku and his friends being turned into kids. It remains to be seen whether the new DB story will win new fans or not.
