DSEU launches short-term Advance Certificate Courses for Electronics Sector

NEW DELHI: Delhi Skills and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU) joined hands with Elios Healthcare to announce the introduction of two short-term Certificate Courses for the Electronics System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. These Advance Certificate Courses, designed by FITT, IIT Delhi, are aimed at providing students with industry-aligned skills and promising NSQF 5 & 6 levels.

The courses entail 75 hours of theory classes at the DSEU campus, followed by a paid on-the-job training of 225 hours, ensuring valuable practical exposure and guaranteed job placements for the students. The classes will commence at DSEU Okhla II Campus, under the Centre of Excellence Agriculture (CoE Agri).
Dr. Ashok Kumar Nagawat, Vice-Chancellor of DSEU, expressed his delight at the unveiling of the ESDM Certificate Courses. He highlighted the courses’ significance in meeting the increasing demand for skilled manpower in the electronic manufacturing industry, aligning perfectly with the Government of India’s Make in India program. By fostering innovation, imparting industry-relevant knowledge, and promoting entrepreneurship, the courses contribute to India’s vision of self-reliance and a thriving electronic manufacturing ecosystem.

Enrollment has already commenced, with about 100 students showing interest in the courses. Additionally, over 50 companies from various parts of the country have expressed their interest in offering on-job-training (paid) and job opportunities to the students.
The Certificate Courses in ESDM offer comprehensive training in areas such as ESDM, Semiconductor, IC design, PCB design and fabrication, and Embedded systems, among others. The program’s emphasis on on-the-job training aims to equip students with real-world experience, thereby enhancing their employability prospects in the rapidly evolving ESDM sector.
