ONE Man City star took matters in to his own hands after Ederson made an injury forced error.
The Brazilian keeper was flustered by the Newcastle United press after he had gone down injured from a challenge with Sean Longstaff.
And after a period of time down on the floor receiving medical attention, Ederson tried to get back to his feet and carry on.
But with a pretty hefty knock he wasn’t his usual self and immediately made a mistake giving the ball away inside the Man City box.
Following a mad panic from the City defence they managed to frantically clear the ball away.
But after seeing his teammate make the error, Rodri appeared to signal to the bench to ask that Ederson was SUBSTITUTED.
Pep Guardiola seemed to take on board the advice as he immediately hooked the shot-stopper and replaced him with Stefan Ortega.
Rodri had dropped in to help his side clear away the approach and as soon as it was cleared he raised his hands and made a motion to insinuate a change should be made.
The initial injury to Ederson had come as a result of a blistering start by Newcastle in which they had the ball in the back of the City next after less than two minutes.
But celebrations were cut short after VAR ruled the goal out for an offside in the build up.
Ederson is now the second player in a number of weeks to go out injured for City as the result of an incident that was actually offside.
John Stones also picked up a knock following an offside moment being allowed to play on by the officials.
The delayed offside rule has regularly caused controversy among pundits and fans with people concerned about unnecessary injuries.
