A STREET’S residents told planning chiefs they’d rather live next to a sex-for-sale sauna than partying visitors in short-term let flats.
Householders blasted a bid to convert “health club” Scorpio Leisure into Airbnb-type digs.
After its owners tabled plans for the switch in Edinburgh’s Albion Road, one objector said they were “very concerned” about “possible parties, loud music and potential disruption”.
And the neighbour added: “There is no noise or disruption under the current use.”
Another claimed “short term lets tend to be used for stag and hen nights”.
They also stated there was “never any noise from the previous owner”.
The applicants had insisted the proposed change of use would “positively impact” the area and “cause less disruption to neighbouring properties”.
But Edinburgh City Council rejected the plans for the property near Hibs’ Easter Road stadium last July.

The app said the premises were “known locally as a ‘knocking shop’”.

Another application to convert the property into a flat was granted last September.
Lova Homes Limited bought it for £152,500 in October.
