Bullsbrook residents have been told to “act immediately to survive” with an out-of-control bushfire threatening lives and homes.
The fire was first reported at about 11.35am on Wednesday.
Residents bounded by Rutland Road and the intersection of Great Northern Highway, extending across to Bonita and Chittering Road intersection, along Chittering Road and Great Northern Highway are urged to leave the area now if the way is clear.
The fire is currently moving fast in a southwesterly direction and is unpredictable.
The blaze started near the intersection of Hurd Road, and Chittering Road and has reached am emergency level alert just after midday.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services has urged residents to not wait until the last minute to leave.
“If the way is clear, leave now for a safer place,” the alert says.
“Do not wait and see, leaving at the last minute could put your life in danger.

“Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
“If you are not at home, it’s too dangerous to return.”
A watch and act alert has been issued by DFES for residents bounded by Rutland Road to the north, Great Northern Highway to the east, Stock Road to the south and Railway Parade to the west.

The fire is approaching the area and residents need to stay vigilant in case the situation escalates.
