Ex-Browns lynchpin Petersson named to Filippa K board

It look like Browns’ loss is Filippa K’s gain. Ida Petersson — who had been the luxury retailer’s Buying Director prior to owner Farfetch’s acquisition by Coupang — has taken a seat on the Filippa K board.

The company said she “brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Swedish fashion house’s board, having been the driving force behind respected luxury fashion partners including Harvey Nichols, Net-A-Porter, and most recently Browns.

“With over two decades of experience, her visionary approach has consistently centred on crafting compelling, globally inclusive, and socially conscious strategies for both brand and product development.”

Petersson was one of the most important people in the Browns set-up and was frequently the spokesperson for the retailer in relation to its products and trends.

Her arrival at Filippa K comes after she partnered with Ramya Giangola in January to launch Good Eggs, a global full-service brand strategy and creative agency.

Filippa K Chairman Anders Ullstrand said Petersson’s insights will be instrumental in furthering the brand’s mission to emerge as a globally-loved affordable luxury brand”.

The appointment comes shortly after Anna Teurnell was named as Creative Lead for the brand, “reinforcing the house’s commitment to advancing its legacy and offering an effortless capsule wardrobe tailored to modern life”.
