The South African Weather Service (SAWS) have issued an urgent weather update, stating the potential of extreme weather conditions for some of South Africa’s provinces over the next few days.

South Africa has experienced a rainy and somber beginning to the new year, with rain and storms continuing in parts of Gauteng and Kwazulu-Natal. Updated conditions have announced that some of these conditions might continue, with a wet and rainy start to the year.

Weather update: Beware extreme conditions in THESE SA provinces

According to the SAWS, the potential for extreme weather conditions have been announced for some of the country’s provinces.

Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal, and North-West might be affected by rain and storms over at least the next few days, with continual storms and rain expected for parts of these areas.

Storms and high winds have been predicted for Cape Town, which might see increased wind speeds and storm potential for the same period.
