THE family of a grandad who was found dead in a home have spoken of their devastation – as a suspect faces court in connection with the death.
Garry Thomson, 60, was discovered by police at a property in Guardbridge, Fife on Wednesday night.
Police Scotland have today confirmed a 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
He is expected to appear at Dundee sheriff court on Monday.
Family and friends of Mr Thomson have taken to social media to leave tributes to the much-loved dad and grandad.
His daughter wrote: ‘My beautiful and beloved father and dedicated grandfather to my children.
‘My best friend in life and a true inspiration.
‘The hurt and anguish this has caused will never be covered with words.
‘A man who put others first and helped anyone.’
His sister Tanya Mallaney added: ‘My gentle big brother, heartbroken.’
Mr Thomson’s body was found at 7pm on Wednesday after cops received a report of his death.
Detective Sergeant Kevin Petrie said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Thomson at this difficult time, and we ask that their privacy is respected.”
