Much of the news surrounding Farfetch of late may have been connected to its acquisition by Coupang, but it’s important to remember that key product initiatives have continued at the same time.
The London-based company has collaborated with one of the UK’s most prominent designer names, Erdem, to offer customers access to an exclusive selection of products from the brand’s SS24 collection.
That collection “examines a story of heritage, edifice and identity, through the lens of Deborah ‘Debo’ Devonshire, the late dowager Duchess of Devonshire, and her relationship with her home, Chatsworth”. That means “precious fabrics, intricate details and archival prints”, that aren’t only inspired by the Duchess but are “an embodiment of her spirit and vision”.
In addition to the wider Erdem collection, Farfetch is carrying four outfits that are exclusive to the webstore. They feature Chatsworth-inspired etching, embellished jet floral appliqués and “sumptuous hues of canary yellow and metallic silver”. Private Clients will also have access via their stylists to an additional collection of exclusive made-to-order styles from the collection.
And to add an experience element to the launch, the e-tailer and the designer will host an “intimate dinner” at Chatsworth on 20 March.
