Vodafone sees improvement on overall experience

If Optus was the clear winner, then Vodafone came in at the number two spot. Regarding 5G uploads speeds, Vodafone just came ahead on 15.8Mbps to Optus’ 15.3Mbps and Telstra on 14.5Mbps.

Vodafone also scored highest for both overall download and upload experience following the shutdown of its 3G network. As each network provider shuts down 3G it can re-deploy the unused spectrum to improve its other services.

Telstra’s coverage hard to beat

While it may not have taken home any awards for speed, Australia’s largest telco did come in first on both overall and 5G coverage experience. Rated between 0 and 10 points, Telstra scored 9.5 and 6.2 respectively. Optus came second scoring 8.3 and 3.8 while Vodafone which has the smallest coverage footprint scored 6.3 and 3.1.
