A VULNERABLE Raith Rovers fan was all smiles when he met his heroes after the teenager was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths following the Fife derby.
The Kirkcaldy club invited Kieren Ross, 18, to Stark’s Park to watch the first-team train before tomorrow’s match away to Airdrieonians.
Rovers will also give the teen star treatment with a place on the team bus for the trip.
Posting to social media, The Rovers said: “We had the pleasure of welcoming Kieren Ross to Stark’s Park to meet the players and watch training.”
The players also surprised Kieren with a signed shirt, Dylan Easton’s boots, and Kevin Dabrowski’s gloves.
He also met up with Scottish football Youtuber Blair McNally.

We told how the teenager had been waiting for a bus home following the match against Dunfermline Athletic on Tuesday when he was allegedly attacked.
He needed hospital treatment after the alleged attack on his way home following Raith’s 2-1 win over their rivals.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged assault.
A video of the alleged incident was shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, and appears to show a group punching and kicking a youngster while he is lying on the ground cradling his head.
It’s understood the fan’s hearing aid was broken as a result of the alleged attack.
Both clubs have since released statements blasting the ugly scenes – as Police Scotland confirmed they’ve launched an investigation.
Championship leaders Raith Rovers, who won the match 2-1, wrote on social media: “We are aware of an incident involving one of our supporters after today’s match.
“We have contacted the supporter to check on their well-being and to see how we can provide support in any way possible.
“The incident has been reported to the police and we will work with Dunfermline Athletic to identify those involved.”
The Pars, who hosted the match, added: “[The club] are aware of a video circulating on social media.
“The club condemns all forms of violence in the strongest possible way and we will support the authorities in identifying any individuals involved.
“We will work with Raith Rovers to ensure that the supporter involved receives the support they need.
“Any supporter found to have taken part will be banned from KDM Group East End Park.”
Youtuber McNally met up with his teen fan for his big day and said: “Today was one that brought me to the edge of my emotions with what they done for Kieren.
“From the players to the coaches to the staff. You would not know who was who.
“Everyone at that club played their part in what was an extremely special day for an amazing boy. From lunch with the gaffer to gifting boots, gloves, clobber and even a tour.”
Players from both teams also blasted those involved in the alleged attack.
Raith keeper Kevin Dabrowski posted on X: “This is not what football is about, people like this ruin what football truly means.
“This boy is normally the supporter but he is the one who needs support from Raith and everyone.
“I hope the people involved face the consequences and I hope this boy is safe.”
