The Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) December 2023 is knocking at the door. However, the National Board of Education in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is yet to release the FMGE admit cards, causing concern and repercussions among aspiring candidates. Set to take place on January 20 at numerous exam centres nationwide, the FMGE is a crucial screening test for foreign medical graduates seeking to practise medicine in India. The anticipated release date for the FMGE admit card was slated for January 15, with the official websites natboard.edu.in and nbe.edu.in designated for download. However, the admit card link remains inactive till now, prompting candidates to voice their concerns on social media.
Despite a revision in the FMGE admit card release date from January 12 to January 15, candidates are left in limbo, eagerly awaiting the crucial hall ticket. Social media platforms have become a sounding board for their frustration, with many urging the National Board of Education (NBE) to expedite the issuance of admit cards.
A tweet from the All FMGs Association (AFA) expressed dismay: “Despite flawless document submissions, @NbeIndia has not issued admit cards to many FMGs for FMGE JAN 20. Even in the last crucial days of preparation, NBE is causing harassment to FMGs. Why is it always FMGs?”

The registration process for the FMGE December 2023, initiated by NBEMS, began in December. Candidates vying for the FMGE must possess a primary medical qualification from a recognized institution, a fact to be verified by the respective Indian embassy. Additionally, candidates must submit requisite documents as evidence of qualification for the final examination of the primary medical course. As the wait continues, candidates remain hopeful for a swift resolution to the delay in the issuance of FMGE admit cards.
