Ford Performance’s Supercharged Mustang Dyno Tested To An Impressive 833 HP At The Wheels

At last year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Ford Performance launched a supercharger package for the 2024 Mustang with the Coyote V8, claiming to lift power from 480 hp to an eye-popping 800 hp.

The crew from Lethal Performance in the U.S. recently strapped a 2024 Mustang with the supercharger onto the dyno and completed a series of runs while running on 93-octane pump gas. The first objective was to see how much power it has in standard guise and then see how much they could increase it by swapping out the supercharger pulley.

The results are impressive. In the initial run and with the standard 3.75-inch Griptec pulley, the car delivered 807 hp and 635 lb-ft (861 Nm) of torque. What’s most noteworthy about those figures is that they were recorded at the wheels and not at the crank, meaning the engine itself is likely pushing closer to 900 hp.

Of course, Ford provides plenty of supporting modifications for the 3.0-liter supercharger. These include high-flow fuel injectors, billet high-flow fuel rails, a 92 mm throttle body, dual air intake, an enlarged heat exchanger, a high-flow intercooler pump, high-flow air filters, and a data logging tool. It’s worth noting this car has several aftermarket upgrades too, like custom headers, a new clutch, carbon fiber driveshaft, G-Force Outlaw axles, and a Corsa HH-pipe that likely added some grunt.

Once Lethal Performance had determined how much power and torque the car was pushing out, it replaced the standard pulley in favor of a 3.625-inch one that increased boost from 12 lbs to 13 lbs and resulted in 833 hp and 661 lb-ft (896 Nm).

The only issue with tweaking the supercharger kit is that it probably voids the three-year/36,000-mile warranty that it comes with.
