FounderSix, a beauty brand incubator co-founded by Oli Goulden and Pieter Wittgen, announced on Wednesday a $12 million investment from venture capital firm KD Capital.
The investment will allow FounderSix to expand its proven approach and introduce a lineup of exciting influencer-led beauty brands to the market.
The announcement comes on the heels of FounderSix’s third successful brand launch, Ravie Beauty, a makeup company created in collaboration with popular YouTuber Allie Glines. The brand recently reached one year of projected sales in just the first thirty minutes of its launch. It also backs Anablue, a haircare brand co-founded with Lauren Perez, and makeup line Ary World, created with TikTok sensation Alex Renee.
FounderSix sets itself apart by offering comprehensive support to influencers looking to break into the beauty brand space. In addition to providing initial capital for their current and future portfolio companies, FounderSix handles all aspects of brand operations.
Central to its model is a strong focus on product development, with team members who have garnered experience at or with industry giants such as L’Oréal, Shiseido, Unilever, and Johnson & Johnson. The company also boasts close partnerships with world-class manufacturing facilities in South Korea, Italy, and the United States, among others.
“Our investment in FounderSix is a testament to our trust in Oli and Pieter’s leadership,” said Lewis Cheng, managing partner of KD Capital.
“Their guiding principle of investing in people, not just ideas, resonates deeply with us. Both have a fantastic talent for creating exciting new brands from scratch and their proven track record makes us very excited to support their vision into the future.”
