French stuntman Remi Lucidi dies after falling from 68th floor of Hong Kong skyscraper

A French stuntman known for taking part in extreme sports died after reportedly falling off the 68th storey of a Hong Kong residential skyscraper.

Thirty-year-old daredevil Remi Lucidi was at the Tregunter Tower complex in Hong Kong when the accident took place.

According to investigators, Lucidi — known online as Remi Enigma — arrived at the building and told the security guard that he was visiting a friend on the 40th floor.

Lucidi is believed to have made his way to the top floor and according to the South China Morning Post, he got trapped outside a penthouse on the 68th floor, frantically knocking on a window and startling a maid inside.

The stuntman then lost his footing and fell, dying instantly.

Police found Lucidi’s sports camera at the scene, which contained videos of extreme sports.

An official statement and the cause of the stuntman’s death were yet to be revealed by the Hong Kong police.

Lucidi, who used the name “Remi Enigma” on social media, last posted a photo of Hong Kong’s night view a week ago on Instagram and tagged the location as Times Square in shopping district Causeway Bay.

The photo appeared to have been taken from above.

Supporters mourned him on social media.

Lucidi posted to Instagram as he climbed various tall structures around the world and took selfies, including one he captioned, “Above the Sky, 425m” with Dubai tagged as the location.
