Fursac lost its managing director at the end of 2023. The men’s label, part of the SMCP group, owner of Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot, had recruited Jérémie Le Febvre in spring 2023. However, it seems that the executive and the French ready-to-wear brand were not a perfect fit. Le Febvre previously headed the English brand A-Cold-Wall, and also worked for French brand AMI.
Questioned by FashionNetwork.com, the group confirms his departure. And sheds some light on the Parisian label’s the current organisation.
“The general management of Fursac is evolving and Isabelle Guichot, CEO of SMCP, is taking over the management of Fursac on an interim basis, with the assistance of Ilan Chetrite, founder of Sandro Homme,” explains the French accessible luxury group in a note. “The Fursac teams, together with its creative director, Gauthier Borsarello, are fully mobilised to ensure the brand’s next important milestones run smoothly, including the presentation at Fashion Week on January 18 and the brand’s continued international expansion in Korea.”
The brand, founded in 1973 by Simon and Bertrand Lauder, was acquired by SMCP in 2019. Last year, it posted sales of more than 40 million, with some 70 points of sale under the banner, as part of a group expected to achieve sales of more than 1.2 billion by 2022.
