Goals from Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Leandro Trossard sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Mikel Arteta’s side now sit a point ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool ahead of the Reds’ trip to Manchester United on Sunday.

Arsenal are chasing their first league title since going unbeaten during the 2003/04 season.

Match of the Day presenter Lineker believes the Gunners are destined to lift the trophy on the final day of the season.

The former England striker has predicted a title triumph to coincide with Ian Wright’s final Match of the Day appearance.

Speaking on Saturday night’s show, Lineker said: “Picture the scene, last day of the season.

“Arsenal need a win to win the title on the very last ever Match of the Day that Ian Wright is on. It’s written in the stars bro.”

Wright announced in December that he will step down as a pundit on the BBC show at the end of the season after 27 years in the role.

As a player, the ex-striker scored 179 goals in 278 appearances for Arsenal.

Lineker’s latest prediction comes after he tipped Arsenal for the title back in August.

Jeff Stelling calls out Sky Sports for coverage of Arsenal’s win over Brighton and says solution ‘is not brain surgery’

He told SunSport: “I’m tipping Arsenal to win the title this season — maybe just to avoid being predictable but I do think they have had an impressive summer in the transfer market.

“Rather than demoralising them, going close and missing out last season will benefit Mikel Arteta’s side.

“Being in the title race has given them an experience that they didn’t previously have.”

Arsenal had looked on course for the title last season before being pipped by City during the closing weeks of the season.
