NEW DELHI: The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru is set to begin the GATE 2024 exam tomorrow, February 3 onwards. Aspirants are gearing up for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 that opens doors to advanced education and career opportunities. In preparation for the big day, candidates must not forget to verify their admit card details and familiarise themselves with essential exam day instructions.
The GATE 2024 will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2024 at various exam centres spread across more than 200 cities/towns in India. The engineering entrance examination will be conducted in two shifts as a Computer Based Test (CBT). The first shift will be held from 9:30 AM to 12:30 Noon and the second shift will be held from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
GATE 2024 Admit Card
The IISc Bangalore released the GATE admit card 2024 on January 4 at the official website – gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates who are going to appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024 must download the hall ticket from the website and get its printout for further use. A hard copy (preferably printed in colour) of the admit card is required to gain entry to the examination centre.

Step 1: Go to either the GATE 2024 website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in or the GOAPS portal at goaps.iisc.ac.in
Step 2: Look for a link or button labeled “GATE 2024 Admit Card Download” or “Hall Ticket Download”.
Step 3: Enter your enrollment ID/email address and password that you used during registration.
Step 4: Your admit card will be displayed on the screen. Check all details carefully and download the PDF file.
Step 5: Take a clear printout of the admit card on A4-sized paper.

GATE 2024 Exam Day Instructions
► Candidates must enter before the starting time of the examination. Delayed entry is permitted such that candidates’ login not later than 30 minutes from the starting time of the examination. No relaxation is given under any circumstances
► Students will be allowed to occupy their allotted seats 40 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2024. Applicants can login and start reading the instructions 20 minutes prior to the start of exam.
► Candidates will receive a scribble pad for rough work during the examination. Prior to utilization, candidates are required to inscribe their name and registration number on the scribble pad. Each candidate is permitted to possess only one scribble pad at any given time. It is mandatory to return the first scribble pad to the invigilator before acquiring a second one.
► Aspirants will not be allowed to leave the exam hall for any reason during the examination. Candidates are allowed to leave the exam hall only after the scheduled end of examination.
► Mobile phones, physical calculators, wallets, watches of any type, any electronic/communicating devices, books, papers, loose sheets, pen/pencil box/pouch and any other similar items are e not permitted inside the examination hall.
