‘General Hospital’ star Robyn Bernard dead at 64 in California

Robyn Bernard, best known for her role in the hit soap opera “General Hospital,” has died. She was 64.

Bernard’s body was found in an “open field behind a business” in San Jacinto, Calif. on Tuesday morning, according to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.

The actress, who played Terry Brock in the long-running soap opera, was declared dead at 4:08 a.m.

The coroner’s office identified Bernard using her fingerprints following a call to police for a death investigation, according to TMZ.

An autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Wednesday but toxicology results could take weeks, the outlet reported.

Foul play is not suspected in her death.

Bernard was born on May 26, 1959 in Gladewater, Texas before she started an acting career, appearing in several small TV roles including on “Diva,” “Simon & Simon” and “Betty Blue.”

In 1984, she was cast on “General Hospital” as Terry Brock, aka Terry O’Connor, where she held the role for 145 episodes until she departed from the show in 1990.

Other projects Bernard worked on included appearances on “Whiz Kids,” “The Facts of Life,” “Tour of Duty” and “Kings for a Day.”

Bernard starred as a psychologist in “Voices from High School” in 2002, which would come to be her final credited role, and has since remained out of the Hollywood spotlight.

She is survived by her father Jerry Wayne Bernard and two sisters Crystal and Scarlett.
