All hail the victors.
After a season filled with controversy, the #1 ranked Michigan Wolverines prevailed and won the College Football Playoff National Championship 31-14 over the Washington Huskies with their airtight defense and explosive offense on Monday, Jan. 8.
The National Championship win was their first since 1997.
“I feel like this has been the perfect happy ending,” running back Donovan Edwards said. “A lot of personal success, a lot of personal failures, but our ultimate goal was to win a national championship…perfect story.”
And if you want to see them do it all over again next year, tickets are already available for the 2024 regular season.
That includes a rematch against Washington as well as the annual showdown with their perennial rival, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

About Michigan Wolverines football
As noted above, the team was marred with controversy in 2023.
This year, the team was still dealing with NCAA investigations from the alleged recruiting violations in 2020 as well as their sign-stealing scheme.
The latter probe, reviewing coaches off-campus trips to steal signs, led to a three-game suspension at the end of the season for coach Jim Harbaugh.
In regards to next season, the big question is whether or not star quarterback JJ McCarthy will return.
His decision will be announced by Jan. 15.
