An emotional Gisele Bündchen asked to pause during a recent sit-down with ABC News’ Robin Roberts, who spoke to the supermodel about life following her divorce from husband Tom Brady.
In a preview for the upcoming special, “IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain,” Roberts, 63, speaks to Bündchen, 43, about the retired NFL quarterback, whom she split from in 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
“You said it was the death of a dream,” Roberts said in a voiceover before asking Bündchen in real-time, “How are you?”
When the camera panned to Bündchen, she replied, “Well, when you say,” while appearing to collect herself.
“Sorry, guys, I didn’t know…. can I have a little moment?” she said with her head turned away.
Brady, 46, and Bündchen confirmed in October 2022 that they had finalized their divorce following much speculation about the status of their relationship.
“I think there are easier days than others,” Bündchen said when asked about co-parenting son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, with Brady.
“And I can only control what I do.”
When Roberts asked Bündchen, “You going to be able to open up your heart again to someone,” the supermodel said, “Um,” while fixing the collar of her turtleneck.
Both Brady and Bündchen have moved forward in the wake of their divorce.
The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback has been linked to Russian supermodel Irina Shayk while Bündchen has been dating jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente since June 2023, according to People.
In addition to Brady, Bündchen’s wide-ranging interview with Roberts will cover her modeling career and her new cookbook “Nourish.”
“IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bündchen: Climbing the Mountain” will stream Thursday on Hulu.
