A SCARY Willy’s Chocolate Experience character is being touted as this year’s most popular Halloween costume.
Chrome-masked freak The Unknown, from the disastrous Wonka-themed Glasgow event, has captured fans’ imagination around the world.
Now party shops are already flogging get-ups with the baddie’s black cape, dark wig and metallic face for around £15.
John Hill, of bookies Coral, said they’re offering odds of 4/5 for the costume being most worn.
He told The Scottish Sun: “We make The Unknown odds-on to be the top costume choice for Halloween 2024.”
The evil rival sweetie-maker is not mentioned in the Roald Dahl books.
Aspiring actress Felicia Dawkins, 16, played the character at the Box Hub venue in Whiteinch.
She emerged from behind a mirror, leaving kids terrified.
But Belinda Nesnas, of marketplace Cazaar.co.uk, said sales of the costume are booming.
She added: “The Unknown is terrifying and will be perfect for dressing up this year.”

Cops had to be called to the shambolic event last month as visitors vented their fury over the shoddy sets and cheap costumes.
Furious parents blasted the event after organisers pulled the plug on it halfway through.
The event was run by House of Illuminati and had charged £35 per ticket for what was billed as a live immersive experience with Wonka-themed activities for families.
But it was met by a furious backlash from parents who turned up to discover it looked nothing like what was promised.
