GoPro launches the HERO12 Black: Here’s what’s new

GoPro has launched its newest flagship action camera, the all-new HERO12 Black, building on the performance and feature-filled functionality of its predecessor, the HERO11 Black.

Along with enhancements to the camera’s overall performance and design, the HERO12 Black includes the new Max Lens Mod 2.0, which promises users the widest 177-degree field of view at 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

The new accessory can capture video and stills in three field-of-view settings including Max Wide, Max SuperView and the new hyper-immersive Max HyperView.

The Max Lens Mod features twice as scratch resistant glass and a more durable hydrophobic lens coating than the HERO11 Black, making the HERO12 a more rugged and robust camera for the outdoors.

When will it be released in Australia?

The GoPro HERO12 Black will be available from September 13 for $649.95 AUD. The Max Lens Mod 2.0 will be available for $169.95 AUD for non-GoPro subscribers and $135.95 AUD for GoPro subscribers. Both products are available for preorder at GoPro.
