Achraf Hakimi missed a penalty kick as Bafana Bafana crashed Morocco out of the African Cup of Nations on Tuesday night.
Evidence Makgopa gave Bafana the lead in the 57th minute to allow the game to open up. Morocco had a few chances to level the scores but South Africa’s defence stood firm to deny the North Africans a goal.
With three minutes to go, Morocco were awarded a penalty after Mothobi Mvala handled the ball inside the box.
