Harry Styles Made a Big Change and Fans Are Shaken

Harry Styles has made waves on the internet with his new look debuted at U2’s Las Vegas Sphere concert in Nevada over the weekend.

The “Fine Line” singer was spotted in the crowd with actor Taylor Russell, with whom he has been linked since June, sporting a shaved head.

Newsweek reached out to a Styles representative for comment via email Friday.

People took to X, formerly Twitter, to react to the 29-year-old star’s new haircut after TMZ released pictures on Thursday, and fans are not pleased.

“U2 really just continues to give us things we don’t need, that album that got pushed onto our phones and now the debuting of a bald Harry Styles,” one person posted on the social media platform.

“EVERYTHING’S going perfectly and then BOOM Harry Styles shows up with no hair,” wrote another.

“@Harry_Styles you better not come back on stage unless that hair is fully grown back I’m so serious,” another fan posted.

A fourth added: “@Harry_Styles go for hibernation and return only when your hair grows back.”

Fans are shocked, as Styles’ curly hair has become a trademark over the years. While some fans are upset, not everyone is bothered by the singer’s new look, and some have speculated about why he may have shaved off his hair.

“Last time Harry cut off all of his hair it was to start a new chapter, to start ‘afresh.’ What if we’re getting a new Harry Styles chapter? A new era?” one person posted.

“‘Harry Styles cut his hair’ cool now can we talk about something more important,” commented another.

A third added: “Harry Styles could have sold each piece of his hair and made a billion dollars tell me I’m wrong.”

Some people on X are even saying that Styles shaved his hair in response to Taylor Swift. The 33-year-old and Styles briefly dated between November 2012 and January 2013, during which she penned the songs for her album 1989. Fans have long said that parts of these songs are about their romance.

Then, on October 27, 2023, Swift released the rerecorded version of her album, which features the track, “Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault).” Fans are saying that the lyric “You grew your hair long” in the second verse is in reference to Styles growing out his hair following their breakup.

“Taylor Swift released 1989 TV with lyrics about Harry Styles saying how she didn’t like how he changed/got long hair after they ended, so he immediately took notes/got a buzzcut!” one fan wrote on X.

Another wrote: “Taylor Swift gagged Harry Styles so bad he shaved his head. What is this life we’re living.”
