Chandigarh: The Haryana government has invited nominations for the Haryana State-Level Women’s Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of women who have excelled in diverse fields. Nominations will be accepted until November 20, 2023, and should be accompanied by comprehensive biographical data and details of achievements.
Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson said that these awards are presented by the government on International Women’s Day and encompass a wide range of categories, recognizing women who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in various domains.
He said that under these state and district-level awards, the awardees receive cash prizes and certificates. The categories include the Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award which offers a cash prize of Rs. 1.5 lakh and a certificate, Kalpana Chawla Shourya Award Rs. 1 lakh and a certificate, the Behan Shanno Devi Panchayati Raj Award Rs.1 lakh and a certificate, the Lifetime Achievers Award Rs. 51,000 and a certificate, the ANM/Nurse/Female MPW (two awards) entail Rs. 21,000 with certificates, Rs 21,000 and citation under women player, Rs 21000 and citation under Government Servant (number of awards two), Rs 21,000 and a citation will be given under Social Worker (number of awards two) and Rs 21,000 and citation will be given under Women Entrepreneur (number of awards two).
He further informed that eligible candidates can download the application forms with the specified qualifications and conditions from the Women and Child Development Department’s website, www.wcdhry.gov.in. To apply for the Haryana State-Level Women’s Awards, complete biographical data along with detailed information about achievements should be submitted to the respective District Program Officer’s office by November 20, 2023. The District-Level Recommending Committee will endorse these nominations and forward them to the headquarters of the Women and Child Development Department.
