Nasrallah Gives First Speech Since Start of Hamas-Israel Conflict
In his first speech since the beginning of the Israel-Hamas war, the leader of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, warned the United States that a regional conflict could ensue if the Israeli attack on Gaza is not stopped. Nasrallah also held the United States responsible for the Gaza attack and threatened to confront U.S. warships in the Mediterranean. He emphasized that the development of the situation on the Lebanese front is dependent on the actions of Israel and Gaza. Nasrallah dismissed the threat of U.S. warships, stating that Hezbollah is not afraid and has prepared for such an encounter. He saluted other Iran-aligned groups involved in the conflict and reminded the U.S. of previous attacks in Lebanon for which Hezbollah was held accountable. Nasrallah celebrated the recent Hamas attack as the start of a new phase and warned that the Lebanon front could escalate into a full-fledged war. Israel has expressed its disinterest in a conflict on its northern border. Nasrallah highlighted the significance of the situation on the border, stating that it is important to observe objectively.
