A resident, who was at the scene at the moment of the bus crash said passengers were left in shock.
David Bannerman told BBC Scotland News: “We heard the crash, looked out the window and seen the barriers had been hit so went down to see what we could do to help.
“The people on the bus were all a bit dazed and confused so we just tried to calm them down. I think they’ll all be ok in the end.
“We couldn’t get the people off the bus because the doors were buckled but we made sure they were all sitting down until the emergency services got here.”
