Fans of ‘House of the Dragon’ may be happy to know that their wait for the second season will come to an end soon.
According to ‘Variety’, Head of Global Streaming & Games for Warner Bros. Discovery, JB Perrette, has confirmed that ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 will premiere on HBO/Max in June. Speaking at Morgan Stanley’s Technology, Media and Telecom conference on Monday, he said that it is one of a handful of HBO series set to contribute to a turnaround at the media giant. However, he did not give a specific date for the release of the show.
JB Perrette also said that some of the original titles were pushed due to the Hollywood strikes taking place last year. He said that he had a much lighter slate in the second half of the year than ever expected.

Way back in November last year, HBO chief Casey Bloys talked about an ‘early summer’ release date. Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav said on February 23 that the ‘Game of Thrones’ spinoff will be released ‘next quarter’.

Star Cast

Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, and Ewan Mitchell will return to Season 2. Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall and Matthew Needham have also been included in the star ensemble for the second season. ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2 will also star newcomers like Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong.
