Arkansas football is back in the win column after a thrilling 39-36 victory over Florida Saturday.
The Razorbacks scored points on their final four possessions, KJ Jefferson came up clutch and the offense looked like a completely different unit under new offensive coordinator Kenny Guiton.
Here are our grades for the Razorbacks (3-6, 1-5 SEC) first victory since early September.
Offense: A-
Offensive issues like sacks and penalties reared their ugly head against Florida, but let’s grade on a scale as this was a huge improvement under Kenny Guiton. Arkansas recorded a season-high 481 yards of total offense.
More: KJ Jefferson has his senior moment as Arkansas football beats Florida
Defense: B-
Three of Florida’s four touchdown drives started in Arkansas territory. The Razorbacks were good all the way until the fourth quarter, and they made a crucial stop in overtime.
Special teams: C+
For the first time in a while, special teams were a weakness at times for Arkansas Saturday. Cam Little missed a field goal, and two poor punts in the first quarter gave Florida terrific field position, but Little also made a clutch kick to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
Coaching: B+
There aren’t any coaching decisions to second guess Saturday, and the biggest decision of all came two weeks ago when Pittman fired Dan Enos.
Overall: B+
The losing streak is over, and Arkansas finally won a one-possession game. This was a critical game for Pittman and the entire program, and they turned in an admirable performance.
