In the vision, the Aussie centre elbowed a Nigerian player in a pre-Olympics scrimmage two years ago before the Tokyo Games in 2021.
She then hit another opponent in a seperate incident.
That sparked retaliation towards Cambage when she was on the bench. She was attacked from behind after a Nigerian player charged her.
Cambage also denies using a racial slur towards the Nigerian players.
The incident has returned to the spotlight after Cambage made the surprise claim that she wanted to switch allegiances and play for Nigeria at next year’s Paris Olympics.
She has been all but barred from representing the Opals since the ugly incident against Nigeria.
With a Nigerian father, Cambage is eligible to play and says they have been courting her.
“Why does Nigeria want me to leave Australia and go and represent them?” Cambage told the Bleacher Report.
“We’re filing for me to leave the Australian team, so I can represent Nigeria.
“I’ve been in cahoots, I’ve been talking to them since all of this happened.”
However, veteran Nigerian women’s basketballer Promise Amukamara shut down Cambage’s claims, tweeting: “I’m sorry but this is False. Lol.
“She called us Monkeys (and) told us to go back to our country. Yes she said that!
“Literally everyone from both teams have the same story BUT her, so y’all do the math!”
