IAF AFCAT 2024: The Indian Air Force has released the notification for the Air Force Common Admission Test, AFCAT 2024. Interested candidates can check the eligibility and other important details related to the admission test on the official website at afcat.cdac.in.
As per the notification, the AFCAT 01/2024 registrationis expected to begin on December 01 and conclude on December 30, 2023.The Indian Air Force aims to fill a total of 317 vacancies for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches.
Age Limit
Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2024 i.e., born between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2005. The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years i.e., born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005.
Ground Duty (Technical/ Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2005 i.e., born between 02 January 1999 to 01 January 2005.
Educational Qualification
Flying Branch & Ground Duty (Non-technical) – The applicant should have achieved at least 50% marks in both physics and mathematics during their 12th-grade exams, and they must hold either a three-year bachelor’s degree or a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university.
Ground Duty (Technical): The applicant needs to have obtained at least 60% marks in both physics and mathematics during their 12th-grade exams. Additionally, they should have completed a degree in engineering or technology at the graduation or post-graduation level from a recognized university.
Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be in the pay scale between Rs 56,100 to 1,77,500. They are also eligible for allowances depending on the nature of duty/ place of posting.
How to apply for AFCAT 2024?
Step 1: Visit the official AFCAT website at afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: On the homepage, register yourself for the AFCAT 01/2024
Step 3: Now, login using the same registration details and fill in your desired selection entry, personal, educational, and other required details
Step 4: Upload the required documents, like photo, signature & thumb impression (size of each jpg/ jpeg file to be between 10 and 50 kb)
Step 5: Select your exam city and proceed to fee payment.
Step 6: Pay the application fee and submit the form
Step 7: Download and take a printout of the form for future reference
