Salary Components
Special Security Allowance: Deputationists are eligible for a Special Security Allowance equivalent to 20% of their basic pay.
Cash Compensation: Non-gazetted officials receive one month’s extra salary (Basic + DA) as cash compensation for duties performed on non-working days or gazetted holidays, up to a maximum of 30 days per annum.
Uniform Allowance: Those posted in BoI (not IB) receive a uniform allowance of Rs. 10,000 per annum. Additionally, a one-time clothing allowance is provided for postings at high-altitude stations.

Leave Travel Concession (LTC): Deputationists are entitled to one hometown and one all-India LTC package (with dependent family members) within a 4-year block, along with 10 days of leave encashment (Basic pay + DA).
Children’s Education Allowance: An allowance of Rs. 27,000 per annum per child is provided for children’s education, with an additional hostel subsidy of Rs. 81,000 per annum.
Additional Allowances: Deputationists posted to hardship locations within the Bureau receive additional allowances such as ration money, risk allowance, island allowance, and special duty allowance, among others, in addition to regular allowances.
