The dedicated portal for IIM CAT, iimcat.ac.in, will publish the hall ticket precisely at 5:00 PM.Accessing the hall ticket requires the registered candidate to input their user ID and password. “The Admit Card for CAT 2023 examination will be made live on 07th Nov 2023. Please use your User ID and Password to login and download the Admit card,” says the official statement. In 2023, the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have scheduled the competitive examination to take place on November 26. The exam is planned to be conducted across three sessions on that day.

CAT 2023 exam pattern and marking scheme
The CAT exam is a computer-based test featuring 100 questions categorized into three sections. Each section is allocated a 40-minute time limit, and there are no breaks between the sections. Here is the section-wise weightage:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA): 22 questions, 66 marks
  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC): 24 questions, 72 marks
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR): 20 questions, 60 marks

Each correct answer in the exam is rewarded with 3 marks. However, for every incorrect answer, candidates incur a negative marking of 1 mark. It’s important to note that non-multiple-choice questions do not have any negative marking associated with them.
