VISAKHAPATNAM: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam inaugurated a five-day on-campus management development program for the mid-level managers of Hindustan Shipyard Limited on Monday. This program aims to upskill the managers on evolving management concepts, practices, perspectives, and approaches. A total of 23 managers from HSL are attending the program.
HSL general manager (prod-HS) N Ashok Kumar was the chief guest for the inaugural. Ashok Kumar, in his inaugural address, emphasised the importance of continuous learning for a working professional. He noted that IIM Visakhapatnam is a prestigious institute, and participants are very fortunate to attend this program and learn from esteemed faculty of the institute.
Welcoming the officials and participants for the program, IIMV dean (administration) Prof MV Anuradha briefed the participants about the journey of the Institute. She added that IIM Visakhapatnam’s vision is to nurture and develop entrepreneurial leaders in organisations. She also highlighted the continuous partnership of IIMV with HSL in capacity building initiatives.
