An eagle-eyed West Aussie has pointed out something you might have missed on Transperth’s 2023-24 summer events lineup aboard their trains.
Posting the image to the Transperth Comment Group on Facebook, user Aaron Bisignano asked just how this made it through publication.
“I noticed this on the Joondalup line this afternoon. A poster about what’s happening in Perth during the summer: there are some mistakes that I’ve noticed,” he writes.
“United Cup at RAC Arena starts 29th December, not 29th September, and Blink 182 is at RAC Arena, not Claremont Showgrounds.
“I’m curious how this made it through publication, printing & displaying on trains.”
The United Cup is an international hard court tennis tournament featuring mixed-gender teams from 18 countries.
The first event was held in December 2022 through January 2023 and is played across three Australian cities over 11 days in the lead-up to the Australian Open.
While Ticketek confirms Blink 182 is in fact performing at RAC Arena on Thursday and Friday — not Friday and Saturday at Claremont Showgrounds.
The post has attracted a slew of comments digging the point into the public transporter.
“That’s embarrassing. Have you notified Transperth, too?” one asks.
“Blind leading the blind by the looks of it,” said another.
