Eligible candidates can apply on the official website of the Railway Recruitment Cell at www.rrcecr.gov.in.
Last day to apply for the apprenticeship is December 9, 2023, 5PM.
Eligibility criteria
- Age Requirement: Candidates should be at least 15 years old and not exceed 24 years as of January 1, 2023.
- Age Relaxation: SC/ST candidates have a 5-year relaxation. OBC candidates have a 3-year relaxation. PwBD candidates have age relaxations of 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC, and 15 years for SC/ST.
- Ex-servicemen: Age relaxation is the total Military service duration plus 3 years, with a minimum of six months of regular attested service.
- EWS Reservation: Candidates not covered under SC/ST/OBC-NCL with a family income below Rs. 8.00 Lakh are identified as EWS for reservation.
- Educational Qualification: A minimum of 50% marks in Matric/10th class or its equivalent. ITI in the relevant trade is also required.
Application fee
The candidates are required to pay Rs. 100 as application fee, which is non refundable. Payment will be accepted in online mode only, during the online application procedure.
Upon successful completion of payment, candidates will be redirected to the official portal, where the candidates will be able to submit and download their filled online application.
Candidates falling under the SC/ST/PwD category and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Stipend and accommodation details
According to the official notice, candidates will be paid stipend during the course of the apprenticeship: “The selected candidates will be paid stipend during Apprenticeship at the applicable rates as per extant instructions. Rates are liable to change as per rules and directions issued by Railway Board time to time.”
However, selected candidates will not be provided any hostel accommodation, and will be required to make their own arrangements.

Step 2: Log in by clicking on the provided link on the RRC (ECR) homepage.
Step 3: Carefully fill in your personal details and bio-data.
Step 4: Make sure you have your Aadhar Card and enter the 12-digit Aadhar Card number during registration.
Step 5: Upload clear, scanned copies of the documents mentioned in the notification.
Step 6: Remember to print a copy of the online forms for future reference.
