The ex-Meta executive who co-founded Aptos with his former colleague Avery Ching is bullish on India. While the company has plans to expand its India team, Shaikh is optimistic that an inspiring generation of builders and entrepreneurs in the country are on track to “cook up something special” in blockchain technology.

Aptos, a US-based blockchain platform founded by Mo Shaikh and Avery Ching, had an interesting start. When Meta (Facebook) decided to can Diem (Libra) in January 2022, Shaikh and Ching were among the dozens of people working on Mark Zuckerberg’s blockchain project aimed at ‘banking the unbanked’.
