later, the Hoops stars and their manager went back to Celtic Park, with Brendan Rodgers revisiting his boast when he arrived at the club that he would see everyone back there in May.
He said: “I stood here just under a year ago and there was about 200 people and I said I’d see you back here in May.
“We have a few more than 200 here and this evening is about the players and the staff.
“The honesty of this group, everybody was writing them off, but they kept working and were honest to the game and to the club and tonight they get the reward.
“So tonight, thank you to the players.”
