AS many as SEVENTY flares or pyro sticks were found by those tasked with clearing up the away end in the aftermath of Rangers’ pyro chaos, it’s being claimed.
A spread of red flares were lit at kick-off at the Scot Foam Stadium on Wednesday night, making the Shankly Stand resemble a wall of fire.
And now The Scotsman are reporting that figure for 70 flares or pyro sticks, which is an incredible number considering there wasn’t a SINGLE arrest made on the night.
Just one fan was refused entry to the ground for being drunk and disorderly.
Whether more arrests will follow remains to be seen – although a Police Scotland statement insisted that they would be investigating the matter thoroughly.
The sense 24 hours or more on is of a situation which could quite easily have been significantly worse.
