‘It’s difficult to talk’- Sundowns’ Rhulani Mokwena

Mamelodi Sundowns are the best team on the African continent after lifting the new African Football League.

As witnessed from the Loftus Versveld Stadium on Sunday, goals from Peter Shalulile and Aubrey Modiba in either half sealed a 2-0 win (3-2 on aggregate).

Soon after the final whistle, Sundowns players called on their loved ones to join them on the pitch.

RHULANI MOKWENA REACTS

Speaking to the media after the game, Sundowns coach Mokwena did his best to share his emotions.

“Congratulations to this amazing football players, I’m very lucky to be their coach,” Mokwena told SABC Sport.

“Congratulations to Mamelodi Sundowns, congratulations.

“It’s for the fans, it’s for the Yellow Nation, it’s for this magnificent group of players, it’s for the chairman – unbelievable support he’s always given to me.

“It’s for Yogesh, the technical stuff, coach Manqoba, coach Wendell, coach Michael, and then this magnificent group players, congratulations to everybody.

“It’s difficult to talk, the conditions are very difficult but God is good and God loves us all,” the Sundowns mentor added.
