ITV had to apologise live on air after cameras caught Jill Scott dropping an F-bomb during Soccer Aid.

The legendary Lionesses ace, 37, captained England to a first victory over the Rest of the World since 2018.

Olympic legend Usain Bolt was among those starting for the World XI at Stamford Bridge, alongside a host of footy icons such as Eden Hazard and Alessandro Del Piero.

Those two and Sidemen footballer Billy Wingrove were all on target for the opposition.

However, Scott was able to lead her country to a 6-3 triumph thanks to goals from Joe Cole, Ellen White, Steven Bartlett (2), Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott.

There were a host of talking points from the nin-goal thriller as viewers piled in on Tommy Fury after the boxer’s “absolutely mad” throw-in blunder at Soccer Aid.

The former Love Islander bowled the ball in UNDER-ARM after coming on as sub.

Jamaican Bolt ruptured his Achilles after he suffered a horror injury while Eastenders hardman Danny Dyer impressed in his man-marking job.

And Love Island narrator Iain Striling dished out a harsh self-assessment as he came on as a sub for the beleaguered Rest of the World that had fans in stitches.

But Scott, a 2022 Uefa Women’s Euro winner, was also responsible for another memorable moment after she was caught out with a foul-mouthed rant.

That moment came during the first half when she produced a brilliant touch to collect Jack Wilshere’s pass before then trying to find her ex-England team-mate White.

Unfortunately, Scott overhit her pass as the much-loved star shouted “f***” in frustration.

It did not take long for lead commentator Sam Matterface to move into action, as he said: “I don’t know if you noticed it, I certainly didn’t but there may have been, just may have been, some rather industrial language that emanated from Jill Scott’s mouth when she missed the chance [to score], if that was the case, we do apologise!”

Co-commentator Stirling, who did not make his cameo until the second period, then joked: “We’ll apologise on Jill Scott’s behalf, just in case, I’m actually getting fed up apologising on Jill Scott’s behalf.

“She needs to wash her mouth out with soap quite frankly!”

Of course, it is not the first time that the Sunderland supporting Scott has been caught making X-rated remarks.

She infamously told one of the German opposition in the Euro 2022 final win at Wembley to “f*** off you f***ing prick”.

BBC commentator Robyn Cowen dished out the apology, saying: “Apologies to any lip readers.

“Not sure you need to be one to figure out what Jill Scott thought of that.”
