Jake Paul wins latest bout in convincing fashion

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Jake Paul improved his record to 9-1 after securing a first-round knockout victory over Ryan Bourland on Saturday.

Paul utilized a combination of head and body shots, taking only 2:37 to claim the win.

Paul, known as “El Gallo” in Coliseo de Puerto Rico, San Juan, where he has six career KOs, defeated Bourland while sporting shredded red trunks.

“I felt really sharp, fast, locked in, but I was just getting warmed up really,” he said post-fight. “I am kind of disappointed to be honest. I want more, I want a challenge and we had someone with 20 fights and I just keep on getting these guys out of there in the first round.

“I want someone to test me so I can make some adjustments and show off some of my new skills. I didn’t really get to show anything. I did feel good, I just wanted more and we will go back to the drawing board and see who’s next,” Paul added.

Bourland’s record now stands at 17-3, with 6 KOs, after coming out of retirement for the fight.

The Paul-Bourland bout was not the main event, as it was scheduled to be followed by the fight between Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano and Nina Meinke, which was canceled due to Serrano’s eye injury.
