Jamia Hamdard achieves ‘A+’ Grade in NAAC Fourth Cycle Accreditation

NEW DELHI: Jamia Hamdard (Deemed to be University) has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing an ‘A+’ grade in the Fourth Cycle of Accreditation conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The prestigious ‘A+’ grade was awarded on 2nd August 2023, after a thorough review carried out by a high-level Peer Team of NAAC, comprising eminent academicians and researchers. The assessment encompassed various parameters such as research, innovation, infrastructure, learning resources, evaluation, and governance, following a stringent evaluation process.

This achievement marks a significant improvement for Jamia Hamdard, as it attained a commendable score with a CGPA of 3.41, a substantial enhancement from the CGPA of 3.15 awarded during the third cycle of accreditation in 2017.
Janab Hammad Ahmed, the Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, extended their heartfelt congratulations to all stakeholders, including faculty members, non-teaching staff, students, parents, and alumni, for contributing to this exceptional success. The NAAC Peer Team had interacted with various individuals, making the assessment process comprehensive and all-encompassing.

Dr. M. A. Sikandar, the Registrar; Mr. Harpal Singh, the Finance Officer; Mr. S. S. Akhtar, the Controller of Examinations; and Prof. (Dr.) S. Raisuddin, the Director of IQAC and Research and Development Cell, were among those commended for their efforts.
The Vice-Chancellor expressed gratitude to all members of Jamia Hamdard for their unwavering commitment and collective efforts towards enhancing the quality of teaching and research. He highlighted that the university’s achievement of an ‘A+’ grade in the fourth cycle of accreditation positions it among a select few Indian universities to have attained this distinction.
