Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has made his newest relationship Instagram official.
Cutler debuted his new girlfriend, Samantha Robertson, while also opening up about the challenges NFL player’s face in their public lives.
“I think we have to separate things on and off the field,” Cutler told Haute Living in a recent feature. “These players are still humans, they have families and do daily mundane things like everyone else.”
The former quarterback divorced reality star Kristin Cavallari in 2020 after seven years of marriage.
The pair share three children— Camden, 11, Jaxon, 9, and daughter Saylor, 7.
“Fatherhood is amazing; to be able to help shape these kids’ lives is very rewarding,” Cutler told the magazine. “It goes by super fast, though; you only get so much time in front of them, so you have to maximize it.”
Robertson is the ex-wife of actor and fashion designer Trace Ayala. The former couple have two kids together, Sophia, 11, and River, 9.
Cutler’s new girlfriend posted snapshots of the couple cozying up in Montana, captioned “Sunsets in Montana never disappoint”.
The pair were also in attendance together at a wedding in Paris with Robertson — an Australian native — posting their first official picture just a week before their trip to Montana together.
However, there is no clear timeline of the two’s relationship.
Accompanying the pictures were comments from fans and even Cutler himself, revealing his newfound affection.
Cutler has learned to deal with the pressure of being in the public eye, first as a quarterback and then as one-half off a high-profile relationship with Cavallari.
“When are we going back?” Cutler, 40, replied in the comments.
Cutler spent twelve seasons in the NFL.
He most notably played for the Chicago Bears (2009-2015) and also played for the Denver Broncos (2006-2008) and Miami Dolphins (2017).
